Introduction
Background
Baby showers are special ocassions that family and friends look forward to. Many can feel overwhelmed when thinking how to participate and celebrate baby showers. Competitive analysis suggests its a growing industry (event planning digitally) but there are many gaps.
The Product
Baby Bliss Hub, is a responsive mobile website that provides all the information and features for a baby shower event.
The Business Goal
To stand out within the increasingly competitive market, by being the site that has it all in one place.

How might we help users register which gift they purchased to avoid duplicates?
User Research
Research Goal
We want to know the pain points users experience when participating in a baby shower so that we understand how to provide a seamless experience.
Methodology

Key Takeaways
Users have a lot of difficulty with gift selection prior to baby showers.

Users would like to learn more about the expecting couple on the baby shower event site.
Users prefer to have a price range filter in the gift registry
The Proposed Solution
A responsive mobile website for event attendees with key features and information needed prior, and even after the special day.

Usability Testing
Objective
Ensure that users are easily able to RSVP, purchase baby shower gift, submit activity to the activity poll, and submit photos on the event album successfully.

Final Prototype

What's next?
Next Steps
I would recommend conducting a second usability test with the same users to test if these revisions helped them solve their main concerns.

I would also recommend further building the site out for possible execution in the future.
Conclusion
This process taught me the importance of placing users needs at the forefront of my overall design and user experience execution. I also, was able to practice my research skills and further apply my sociological background to my advantage, in this case, learning about the target audience and their needs.
I faced several challenges with establishing the color palette, balancing the UI aesthetic, and setting up the prototype flows. Nevertheless, as my first Design Lab project, I am extremely proud of my outcome.
